Christopher Leonard

Christopher Leonard serves as Chief Executive Officer for Velocity Solutions.

Prior to becoming CEO, Christopher served as President of the company from 2012 to 2014, and Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel from 2005 to 2011.

Prior to joining the company in 2005, Christopher was a corporate and tax partner with Wilmington, North Carolina’s largest law firm, where he worked with privately and publicly held corporations in various transactional, compliance and advisory capacities. He also served as counsel to Velocity Solutions advising on, among other things, regulatory and tax issues affecting the banking and health insurance industries. This experience allows him to serve as a resource for clients on regulatory and tax issues affecting the financial and insurance industries, including Regulation E (Electronic Fund Transfers; Requirements for Overdraft Services), Regulation DD (Truth in Savings), Gramm-Leach-Bliley (Financial Privacy Rule), W-2 issues in employee incentive programs, HIPAA nondiscrimination rules for wellness programs, and 1099 issues for deposit accounts.

Christopher received his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from Wake Forest University. He has served in leadership roles in various nonprofit organizations, including serving as president of the Community Boys & Girls Club of Wilmington, NC, chairman of the Foundation for the Community Boys & Girls Club, a founding director and vice president of the St. James Parish Foundation, a member of the Board of Visitors of the Wake Forest University School of Divinity and a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. While in private practice, Christopher was awarded the New Hanover County Bar Association’s Pro Bono Publico Award, 2002-2004.

Christopher holds a commercial pilot certificate and has multi-engine, single-engine, instrument and seaplane ratings. He resides with his family in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Mike Triggiano

Executive Vice President of Product Management & Corporate Development
Velocity Solutions, LLC

Mike Triggiano is Executive Vice President of Product Management & Corporate Development. He is responsible for setting strategic product vision, new product development, business development partnerships, and merger and acquisition strategy.

Mike has more than 20 years of experience in information technology, system design, and software development. Prior to joining Velocity Solutions in 2004, he served as president of trepX Technologies, an IT consulting and software development company. Mike has held the role of Chief Technology Officer for two companies, VisionAIR and EHC Technologies, and he worked for Nortel Networks for 13 years.

Mike has a BS in Computer Science as well as an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Cindy Draper

Retail DDA Strategist
Velocity Solutions, LLC

Cindy J. Draper joined Velocity Solutions in 2011 as Retail DDA Strategist. Cindy has over 20 years of experience in the banking industry. She has worked her way up through the ranks, holding positions as teller, teller supervisor, personal banker, loan officer, branch manager, loan administration manager, and vice president of retail banking and marketing. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for 14 banks at a bank holding company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. She was also a member of the Treasury team, assisting the ALCO teams with customer profitability and deposit pricing strategies.

Cindy graduated with honors from Doane College with a degree in Organizational Communications. Cindy is a certified sales trainer with an emphasis in adult learning and is an alumna of the Nebraska Bankers Association’s Leadership Class of 2008.

Cindy resides in Lincoln, Nebraska with her husband and daughter. She enjoys college football, NASCAR and collecting quotes. Her favorite quote is: “Progress involves risk; you can’t steal second with your foot on first.”

Robert E. Sterner

National Account Manager
Velocity Solutions, LLC

Robert E. Sterner is National Account Manager for Velocity Solutions. He is responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with financial institutions across the country.

Since joining the organization in 2003, Bob has supervised the customer service department, managed several programs, and plays a vital role in managing Velocity’s client consultants and business analyst team. Bob’s background of 12+ years in customer service, combined with his daily front-line exposure to the banking industry has provided him with extensive insight into the challenges faced by community and regional banks and credit unions. He leverages that knowledge and experience to advise Velocity’s clients in regulatory questions, retail strategy, and a host of tactical methods to drive non-interest income.

Bob has a BS in Business Management from UNC Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business. Originally from Gettysburg, PA, he now lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife, Laura and their three children, Addie, Sam and Livvy.

Jeff Gotsch

National Account Manager
Velocity Solutions, LLC

Jeff Gotsch is a National Account Manager for Velocity Solutions. He is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with financial institutions across the country.

Prior to joining Velocity Solutions, Jeff practiced law in Indiana for four years, and spent ten years in sales and marketing prior to attending law school. In his law practice, he represented clients in civil matters in the areas of business and corporate law, real estate, and estate planning. Jeff’s legal and business experience provide his clients with a unique insight into balancing compliance and revenue enhancement in our changing regulatory environment.

Jeff attended Indiana University, where he earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Psychology and Journalism, along with his MBA. He then graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and water-skiing and boating on the Northern Indiana lakes.

Charles Baker

Director of Client Service
Velocity Solutions, LLC

Charles Baker is Director of Client Service for Velocity Solutions. He brings with him over 18 years of executive level sales, client services, and operations experience, primarily in the Banking, Technology, and Consulting Services industries.

Charles joined the Velocity Solutions team as part of the acquisition of Furnace, Giltner and Associates where he had served as Vice President of Sales. Prior to that, Charles spent seven years as Vice President of Operations for Sunset Direct, Inc. where he oversaw all Client Services related activities as well as the profit and loss management for all of Sunset Direct’s Clients.

Charles has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas State University. He lives in Austin, TX with his wife and three children, who take up most of his free time.

Tim Barrett

Executive DDA Strategist
Velocity Solutions, LLC

Tim Barrett serves as Executive DDA Strategist. He joined Velocity Solutions in 2012 when the firm acquired the Deposit Score, Platinum Overdraft and Pricing Partner products and business from Sheshunoff Consulting + Solutions/Sheshunoff Management Services.

In 2003, Tim started his consulting career by helping financial institutions across the U.S. improve DDA lines of business through revenue enhancement consulting and overdraft program implementations. Tim has a varied consulting background in a number of functional areas including revenue opportunity review, technology planning and acquisition, regulatory review preparation, disaster recovery, and bank systems integration. He also has consulted with institutions for business process improvement, call center implementations, and deposit operations review. He has provided these services to financial institutions ranging in size from single branch operations to those with $50+ billion in assets.

Tim has more than 16 years of banking and technology experience. Prior to his consulting career, he served as the Technology Director for a school district in Texas and as the Senior Systems Analyst for the $4 billion asset First American Bank, Texas (acquired by Citibank in March 2005).

Tim attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he lives with his wife and three daughters.

Scott Magruder

Regional Account Manager
Velocity Solutions, LLC

Scott has held various sales and leadership positions throughout his 15+ years in the financial institution industry. He is responsible for sales of Akouba Digital Lending solutions to financial institutions across the country. Scott’s professional experiences provide extensive knowledge of commercial and small business lending, financial technology and core operating platforms. As a result, Scott is well-versed in the successful application of industry-leading technologies delivering measurable improvements in customers’ business processes and profitability. Scott Magruder is a Regional Account Manager at Velocity Solutions.

Scott holds a MS degree from Old Dominion University and a BS from Florida State University.  He is a former US Navy Surface Warfare Officer is a board member of The Veteran Hunter, a non-profit organization providing unique outdoors experiences to veterans and their dependents. Originally from Tallahassee, FL, Scott now lives in Atlanta, GA.
